The Mont-Tremblant Area

Mont-Tremblant village is at the centre of some of the best fly fishing in the upper Laurentians. The Diable (Devil's) River with its trout, bass and pike, is the major river in this watershed and provides a natural setting at Mont-Tremblant's doorstep. Its tributary streams such as the Caché and Le Boulé are also worth exploring. If lakes and ponds are of interest, Mercier Lake and Moore Lake are located right in the village while Tremblant Lake, the largest in the area, is only a few minutes away.

Mont-Tremblant Parc, Québec's largest provincial parc at 1 500km2, is located only 30 minutes away and offers hundreds of lakes and ponds for brook trout. Most are accessible by car while others require some hiking suitable for the modest adventurer. If you're looking for the ultimate backcountry experience, try the neighbouring 1 400km2 Rouge-Matawin Reserve, with over 450 lakes and several streams located about one hour from Mont-Tremblant village.
