News release on new fly fishing only regulation in effect for the Sector.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Sector includes :
 
Three rivers : The Diable (Devil's), Cachée & Le Boulé.
10 access points over 15 km of wadeable river.
Spectacular natural setting.
Numerous riffles, pools and rapids, ideal for the browns and brook trout.
You will also find bass and pike.
 
Rules of the sector :
 
Québec fishing license required.
Fishing regulations for zone 11 and 15 apply.
Season opens on last Saturday of April to 30 November.*
*(Catch & release only for some species at certain times.)
Daily limit 5 trout & 6 bass/pike
Valid Membership Card to the Devilish FlyFishers Club visible.
 
Good fishing means healthy environment :
 
Several stream improvements are underway including; stocking of trout, maintenance of fishing paths, shoreline & aquatic habitat management, promoting sustainable fishing practices.
The success of the Diable River Fishing Sector depends on everyone's respect of fishing regulations, care for the aquatic habitat and following sustainable fishing practices.
 
To ensure a sustainable fishery please :
 
Practice fly fishing.
Practice catch & release.
Use single barbless hooks.
Never use live bait.
